really random observations...

You know how I knew the movie was going to be unwatchable? because for one, I saw the commercial for it. but mostly, because the show sucked. why did the show suck? because the writing sucked, the actors sucked, the casting sucked, and everything about it sucked. not to mention the fashion and "styles." Just LOOK at these outfits, hairstyles, and the accessories! For god's sake, that scarf-hat SJP is wearing is inexcusably-hideous! enough said. "Bomb, baby, Bomb!" Perhaps this is the very last time we ever HEAR or see this pathetic lot.

This is one of the best business names EVAH! It's a graphite/marble/tile/natural stone products shop, on Rte 611 in Horsham. It's called, "Let's Get Stoned, Inc." !!! May be THE best brick and mortar business name I've seen. I plan on going in here once just to check it out!

from the "art imitating life imitating art imitating life" department...I know 50 Cent is making a movie about a friend who dies of cancer, but man: W...T...F?! Then again, I've been whining about needing a new Robert DeNiro for almost two decades now; maybe we've found him in this homie!

Just love this - don't even know where I saw it/found it!

miscellaneous thoughts..

"Some of my best friends are yankees fans!" Look, I don't "love to hate the Yankees," or as I often call them, the Yankmees. I know a lot of people who hate the yankees. tons. none of them "love to hate the yankees," or "like to hate the yankees." Who "likes" to hate something? We would simply prefer the yankees go away and to never hear about them again. I don't like their arrogant players, I don't like their big, sloppy egos; I don't care which celebrities they're screwing, and so on. do I need to say this? I don't like their talent or their century of winning championships either. By and large, I find their fans equally annoying. Yes, I have plenty of friends who are diehard yankees fans. I don't find them annoying; they're my friends. but most yankee fans I meet throughout NY, America and the world, are annoying asses. that's just what I find. I take no pleasure whatsoever in immensely disliking the Yankmees and their fans. It hurts a little actually. And let's be honest, part of the hurt, comes from realizing that Yankee fans, do, to some extent, get a little joy out of knowing how much us 'haters' despise them and their team.

Fergie, singer from Black Eyed Peas, with the terrible voice and excellent figure must've just recently, gotten a lot of work done to her face. I saw her on one of the new Direct TV ads, and didn't even realize it was her at first (until I heard her singing). She doesn't look right in the face, yo.

The movie Anchorman. Look, people, I was underwhelmed the first time I watched it. But I have never, in my life, seen a movie, that got SO much better and funnier, w/ repeated viewings. And there are MANY hilarious scenes in that movie. They just went by me the first viewing, due to the seriously quirky schtick of Will Farrell, and the entire premise of the movie, and the fact that there are bad jokes scattered throughout, that the writers should've either kept out completely, or edited much better. But there are lots of comedies like that recently. Tropic Thunder comes to mind. There are def stupid - and nothing more - jokes in both of these movies; but they really do pale in comparison to the perfect blend of witty/absurd/hilarious jokes and scenes that dominate these movies. I've had this discussion before w/ people, and I can tell you, I am not the first to bring up the 'repeated viewing = way funnier' concept with regards to viewing Anchoman. Same thing happens w/ Big Lebowski (ALL Coen Bros. movies, for that matter). Watch it again. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Oh, one last thing: could republicans be any worse Americans?

Here's what I'm thinking...

on my mind the last 24 hours...

Michael & Michael Have Issues - Best/Funniest new show on TV. Comedy Central, Wednesdays, 10:30PM. Watch.

I am truly looking forward to the day that George W. Bush, Cheney, Rush, Hannnity, Bill O'Reilley, G. Gordon Liddy, and Pope Ratzinger die. I still can't believe how much fucking damage and death they've inflicted the world with.

They make synthetic lattice in 10 different colors; why not redwood, to match my deck?

Obama needs to keep congress working on universal healthcare, however, he needs to drop the deadline crap. If he continues to tie his presidency to it, he won't win re-election, not to mention, the republicans and will get back a lot of seats in congress. America needs him for a full 8 years. Healthcare is a big, complex, bastardized, fucking mess, with the industry weighing in, corporate lobbyists corrupting the process at every goddamned turn, and we need to take our time with it, to make sure when it's implemented, it has teeth. The republicans gained tremendously, for years and years when the Clinton congress failed at gettign a bill to the Senate, even. We can't repeat that history. Work on it, but take a couple years if necessary. Dont' sell the farm Obama. Oh yeah, I'm all for taxing the fuck out of the rich (until I have lots of money), but that still won't be enough to pay for it. Wait a year or two and see if the economy gets back on track. It will be a much easier sell. If Bush's 8 year abortion never happened, we could implement it immediately, but he decided to not pay for Medicare, and pissed away trillions on bailouts, and an unnecessary war. Fucking asshole.

Latinas.

Speaking of...Is anyone gonna ask Judge Sotomayer what her view is on the women's right to choose, w/ regards to re-productive health and legal abortion? Or have they already and I missed it?

Fuck the Lakers, Fuck the Yankees.
